The Urology Cancer Team Support Worker will be based within the Urology Cancer Nursing Team establishment at Torbay Hospital in Torquay. The role provides support to specialist nurses and to patients accessing this service, both in person and remotely by email/phone.

It involves signposting, information delivery, and assisting the clinical team to ensure timely action on patient queries and care. The post includes handling referrals and triage, supporting the day-to-day running of the service,

Formación

• Diploma or foundation degree in health and care support or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Provide general, specialist information to patients and clinical teams about urological cancer.
• Offer information and support for people with non-complex care needs.
• Engage with community services as appropriate.
• Record patient information on Trust systems.
• Assist the PSA Tracker team with administration tasks and ensure blood tests are requested when required.
• Contribute to running the Urological Cancer Nursing service and handle queries via multiple channels.
