Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is urgently seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of SEN at a Chester area school. Roles include 1:1 and classroom-based positions, with an immediate start and ongoing opportunities in a specialist educational setting.

Ideal candidates will have SEN/SEND experience, familiarity with autism and related needs, and a passion for helping pupils access learning and develop confidence and social skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN/SEND settings.
• Experience in schools or education environment.
• Experience providing 1:1 pupil support.
• Experience with autism or additional needs.
• Experience with behavioural or pastoral support.
• Experience in care or support work.
• Experience in youth work or residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to individual pupils.
• Work as part of a classroom support team.
• Support pupils with additional and complex needs.
• Help pupils engage with lessons and activities.
• Support emotional, behavioural and social development.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff.
• Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
