Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded SEN School in Burton upon Trent to recruit a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. The role involves providing tailored 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to adapt learning activities.

The ideal candidate holds at least Level 1 TA qualification, DBS on Update Service (or willingness to obtain), and is

Qualifications

• Level 1 TA qualification minimum.
• Experience as a TA/LSA/SEN TA or SEN Support Worker.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 support for a designated Year 1 pupil.
• Support children with SEND including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Assist with learning activities and classroom engagement.
• Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Implement and support targets outlined in the pupil's EHCP.
• Adapt learning resources and strategies to meet individual needs.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
