Job summary

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital is seeking an Urgent Care Technician I to join the patient care team in our fast-paced environment. This role supports the check-in process and provides essential pediatric care tasks under supervision, helping to ensure smooth clinic flow and excellent patient service.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma (MA preferred) and experience in urgent care or pediatric settings, with strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Urgent Care setting and/or large-volume pediatric office.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred; pediatric experience preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

• 1 Shift per week
• Weekdays: 4:30pm-11:30pm, Weekends: 10:30am-11pm

Position Summary

Urgent Care Technician I is a multi-tasking Certified Medical Assistant/Registrar who works as a valued member of the patient care team. Their work responsibilities range from checking in patients to performing patient care tasks necessary to care for the pediatric patient. Key characteristics of this team member include but are not limited to: ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively, a team player, people focused, excellent customer service skills and technical skills necessary to perform this role. Two Urgent Care Technicians will work together to assure all components of the job are completed professionally, timely and efficiently.

Education/Experince

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant Preferred. Experience working with children preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Qualifications

• Experience working in an Urgent Care setting and /or large volume pediatrician office

Salary Range:

Minimum 23.00/hour - Maximum 23.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
