Overview

We are seeking an urgent care practitioner with professional registration of NMC or HCPC.

Responsibilities
  • Apply autonomous assessment, examination, and documentation following relevant clinical guidelines for the treatment of patients under the supervision and decision‑making of senior clinicians.
  • Engage in Shift Lead duties on a regular basis to ensure patients are cared for by the right person, in the right place, at the right time.
  • Seek clinical expertise regarding judgement, discretion, and decision‑making in the provision of clinical care to adults and children presenting with undifferentiated diagnoses of minor injuries and illnesses within a UTC setting.
  • Work towards and be committed to undertaking an agreed capability framework.
  • Behave and act in a way appropriate to and in accordance with "The DCHS Way".
Context

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire. We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people\'s own homes and via virtual consultations.
