Job summary

Faversham Medical Practice seeks an experienced Clinical and Operations Manager to lead the Urgent Treatment Centre at Faversham Health Centre. The post holder will provide clinical and managerial leadership to UTC staff and work with GPs to deliver practice priorities.

The UTC operates 8am–8pm daily; salary £57,528–£64,750 per year plus a 4% lead role and prescribing premium. Bank holidays, Saturdays and Sundays may be required; independent prescribing qualification is beneficial but not

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills in urgent care setting.
• Over 6 months experience in a management role.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities.
• Experience in developing and implementing new services.
• Experience of working with external organisations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and effective delivery of clinical care.
• Lead on prescribing audits and PGD audits.
• Lead and participate in reviews of clinical safety and significant incidents.
• Manage changes recommended from incident reviews and learning events.
• Develop and implement new UTC services in collaboration with the team.
• Monitor infection control standards and equipment.
• Manage Urgent Care Practitioners rota and annual appraisals.
• Represent the UTC at meetings and with commissioners.
