Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust in Salisbury is seeking motivated General Practitioners to join the new Urgent Treatment Centre, opening Autumn 2026, to provide urgent care assessment, diagnosis and treatment.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver patient-centred care for minor illnesses and injuries with flexible sessional hours from 10:00 to 20:00, seven days a week including Bank Holidays, and a minimum commitment of two sessions per week.

Job description

We are seeking motivated and patient-centred General Practitioners to join our new Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), due to open in Autumn 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish a high-quality urgent care service from its inception, providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients with urgent healthcare needs.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver expert clinical care for patients presenting with minor illnesses and injuries, ensuring they receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Posts are offered on a flexible sessional contract basis; 10:00 to 20:00 hours, seven days a week, including Bank Holidays. A minimum commitment of two sessions per week is required, with working days agreed flexibly to support both service needs and individual availability., You will assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with urgent but non-life-threatening conditions, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care. You will also play a key role in supporting the development and success of this new service
