Job summary

Whitstable Medical Practice is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our Urgent Treatment Centre, working 25 hours per week. Applicants should have experience in urgent care, ambulatory care or same day emergency care and be confident managing a wide range of acute presentations.

The successful candidate will provide care from history taking to assessment, treatment and evaluation, and will work autonomously within the busy UTC, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience in urgent care, ambulatory care or same day emergency care settings.
• Excellent communication skills and evidence of leadership qualities.
• Experience using medical software packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for presenting patients from history taking to assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary general practice team to meet patient needs, supporting policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate safe, clinical decision‑making in a busy Urgent Treatment Centre.
