Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Greater Manchester is seeking an Operational Manager for UEC to provide day-to-day management and operational support to the Urgent and Emergency Care admin teams across Salford, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham.

You will line-manage secretaries and admin staff, oversee rotas and leave, support patient flow and KPI monitoring, and contribute to service planning and patient care administration.

• Line manage and support a team of secretaries, typists, and administrative staff.
• Oversee staff rotas, including management of annual leave, sickness absence, and cover arrangements to maintain service continuity.
• Conduct appraisals and performance reviews, supporting staff development and wellbeing.
• Ensure clear communication, role clarity, and adherence to Trust policies and procedures.
• Maintain oversight of key deliverables such as typing turnaround times, letter sign off and investigation log management.
• Support with tracking and monitoring KPI's
• Identify risks or delays in administrative processes.
• Participate in service planning and development of administrative systems supporting patient care.
• Assist in the investigation of complaints/PALS.
