Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Administrator to join the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) reception team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, relatives and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional service in the Emergency Department and Same Day Emergency Care.

• Enthusiastic and organised administrator with a patient-focused approach.
• Able to manage confidential information and comply with data protection.
• Able to work flexibly across shift patterns, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for visitors and patients at the departments.
• Obtain and register confidential information and update patient details.
• Assist patients with E-Triage and payment kiosks.
• Handle difficult or distressing situations with clinical staff when needed.
• Organise paperwork and notes to keep the department orderly.
• Answer general enquiries by phone and in person.
• Provide a welcoming, professional and supportive experience for patients and relatives.
• Work independently to manage day-to-day workload.
