Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a career-minded engineer to contribute to civil engineering and urban development within buildings projects. You will design surface water and foul drainage, utilities, ground works and highways interfaces, collaborating with cross-GBA teams.

You will prepare drawings and BIM models, apply Arcadis health and safety principles, and support senior engineers with technical guidance. The role offers exposure to global practice and a path to chartered status, with opportunities to

Qualifications

• Degree qualified with Chartered or Incorporated status, or nearing chartered status.
• Experience in the design and delivery of civil engineering / urban development activities as part of buildings projects.
• Proficiency with MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and BIM integration.
• Knowledge of SuDS, SfA, DMRB, and Building Regulations.
• Ability to apply manual calculations when software is not available.

Responsibilities

• Undertake civil engineering design for projects with sustainable development focus.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure design integrity.
• Define project approach for collaboration with global design colleagues.
• Prepare design solutions, drawings, BIM models, reports, and specifications.
• Attend project meetings and review teammates' work for accuracy.
• Coordinate with environmental and construction teams.
• Implement engineering management arrangements per Arcadis IMS.
• Prepare Designer Hazard Logs and communicate residual risks.
• Provide input to Design Decision Logs and assumptions registers.
• Mentor junior engineers, technicians, and apprentices.
