Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a career-minded engineer to join the Places Design Practice, delivering civil engineering design for urban development within buildings projects. You will work on surface and foul drainage, highways interfaces, and utilities, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, sustainable solutions.

Applicants should be chartered or near-chartered with proven design delivery experience and strong proficiency in MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and BIM.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering / urban development for buildings projects.
• Proficiency with MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM.
• Knowledge of design standards including SuDS, SfA, DMRB and Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Undertake civil engineering design for projects with a focus on sustainability.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure structural integrity of the overall design.
• Prepare design solutions, drawings, BIM models, reports and specifications.
• Attend project meetings and review teammates' work for accuracy.
• Provide technical input to Design Logs and project assumptions registers.
• Support cross-disciplinary teams across design, environmental and construction streams.
