Job summary

London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) is looking for an experienced UPVC Carpenter to join our Repairs Team. The role is mobile, with a provided L&Q van and a primary patch covering Guildford, Redhill, Horsham and surrounding areas.

You will repair internal/external windows, doors and carpentry items, travel from your home to job sites via PDA, and deliver a right-first-time service with excellent customer care. Core hours typically Monday to Friday 8am–5pm, with potential call-outs.

Responsibilities

• Undertake internal and external window repairs, including single and double glazing, door repairs and lock refits.
• Perform carpentry tasks to support repairs and maintenance.
• Travel across Guildford, Redhill, Horsham and surrounding areas; may work across the South West region as required.
• Work from a home base with a provided L&Q van, traveling to jobs via PDA distribution.
• Deliver a right-first-time service and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Title: UPVC Carpenter

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week

Salary: £41,200 per annum

Grade: DM Tech 05

Location: Redhill, Guildford, Horsham and surrounding South West patch

Persona: Mobile Working (van provided) contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required

Join our Repairs Team at L&Q:

L&Q are looking for an experienced Multi trader/UPVC operative to work within our Reactive Maintenance Team.

*this role will cover Guildford, Redhill, Horsham and surrounding area. While successful candidates will be allocated a primary working area, they may be expected to work across the wider South West region as required to support service delivery.

The role will be dealing with all aspects of internal/external window repairs including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits and repairs. Carpentry skills will be required for you to fulfil this role.

Our Operatives are supplied with an L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment. You will begin the day from your home address where you will travel to jobs which are distributed to your PDA (hand-held device).

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to L&Q and as a first line of contact to our residents we expect you to have outstanding customer service and ability to deliver a right first-time service. Limiting follow ons and increasing satisfaction.

Our in-house maintenance team core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in general. There is the opportunity to earn more from call outs and out of hours service.
