Job summary

L&Q is seeking an experienced UPVC Carpenter to join our Reactive Maintenance Team. The role covers Guildford, Redhill, Horsham and surrounding areas, with a primary area but travel across the South West as required.

You will handle internal and external window repairs, glazing, door repairs and lock refits, with carpentry skills essential. Operatives are supplied with a company van, uniform and PPE, and you start from your home address.

• Sound working trade knowledge and experience.
• Experience gained within a Maintenance, site and or Housing environment.
• Able to deliver excellent customer service.
• Right first-time approach.
• Health and Safety Conscious.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Wide range of Multi trade skills.

UPVC Carpenter

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week

Salary: £41,200 per annum

Location: Redhill, Guildford, Horsham and surrounding South West patch

L&Q are looking for an experienced Multi trader/UPVC operative to work within our Reactive Maintenance Team.

*this role will cover Guildford, Redhill, Horsham and surrounding area. While successful candidates will be allocated a primary working area, they may be expected to work across the wider South West region as required to support service delivery.

The role will be dealing with all aspects of internal/external window repairs including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits and repairs. Carpentry skills will be required for you to fulfil this role.

Our Operatives are supplied with an L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment. You will begin the day from your home address where you will travel to jobs which are distributed to your PDA (hand-held device).

Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to L&Q and as a first line of contact to our residents we expect you to have outstanding customer service and ability to deliver a right first-time service. Limiting follow ons and increasing satisfaction.

Our in-house maintenance team core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in general. There is the opportunity to earn more from call outs and out of hours service.
