Job summary

London and Quadrant Housing Trust is seeking an experienced Groundworker to join our Southwest London maintenance team. The role covers external works across Sutton, Croydon, Redhill and surrounding areas, with a company vehicle for business use and PPE provided.

You will perform groundwork tasks including fencing, brickwork, pointin g, concrete works, drainage repairs and high-quality first-time finishes, while delivering excellent customer service to residents.

Qualifications

  • Experience in drainage repair and renewing, flagging, fencing, concrete works, tarmac patching.
  • Knowledge of building and housing, preferably with the Social Housing Environment.
  • Customer service skills and ability to deal with vulnerable people.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out groundwork including fencing, brickwork, pointing, concrete works and slabbing.
  • Work as part of the Maintenance Team to deliver high-quality, first-time results.
  • Support service delivery across the Southwest London region as required.

Job description

Contract Type: Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week

Salary: £35,530 per annum

Working Location: Southwest London

Persona: Mobile Working (van provided) contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required

Working Pattern: 8 to 5 Monday to Friday. Call outs per rota basis

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Groundworker to become part of our in-house Maintenance Team. A company vehicle for business use, PDA fuel card, Uniform and PPE and parking paid will all be provided.

Our Southwest London region is one of our largest operational areas, covering Sutton, Croydon, Battersea, Wandsworth, Merton, Guildford, Redhill, and the surrounding areas. While successful candidates will be allocated a primary working area, they may be expected to work across the wider Southwest region as required to support service delivery.

The role will include all aspects of groundwork need to have experience in Fencing, Brickwork and pointing. Concrete works, and Slabbing. We welcome knowledge of additional trades.

Candidates will have experience in drainage repair and renewing, flagging, fencing, concrete works, tarmac patching, and manhole repairs. We also carry out High Pressure water jetting of drains, experience of jetting isn’t required as full training will be provided to the right candidate.

The focus will be on high-quality work, outstanding customer service and the right first-time attitude. You will be required to work as part of a larger team as part of this role.

The role requires a knowledge of building and housing preferably with the Social Housing Environment. Customer Service skills and ability to deal with vulnerable people.
