Job summary

AMG Recruitment is seeking an experienced Upholsterer in Reading for full-time, permanent work. The role involves producing and reupholstering office seating and bespoke residential furniture, with templates, precise measuring, and pattern interpretation.

Starting salary ranges from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, with benefits and a standard 21 days holiday plus bank holidays. Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, with lunch and breaks as specified, and on-site parking available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an upholsterer.
• Ability to read and interpret upholstery patterns and blueprints.
• Experience producing and reupholstering office seating.
• Ability to create templates.
• Measuring fabrics or materials to specified patterns.

Responsibilities

• Produce and reupholster office seating and residential furniture from start to finish.
• Create templates for furniture pieces.
• Measure and mark fabrics to match patterns and dimensions.
• Manufacture furniture from start to finish.
• Read and interpret upholstery patterns and blueprints.
• Use cutting tools and equipment safely.
• Work with various fabrics and materials.
