Job summary

AMG Recruitment is seeking an experienced Upholsterer for a permanent, full-time role in the Accrington area. The position involves producing and reupholstering seating and furniture from start to finish.

You will create templates, measure fabrics to exact patterns, and interpret upholstery blueprints while working with a range of fabrics. Typical hours are 7am–4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am–12:45pm Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break and two short breaks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Upholsterer.
• Ability to read upholstery patterns and blueprints.
• Skilled with cutting tools and fabric knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Produce and reupholster seating or furniture from start to finish.
• Create templates for upholstery projects.
• Measure and mark fabrics to exact patterns and dimensions.
• Manufacture furniture from start to finish.
• Read and interpret upholstery patterns and blueprints.
• Operate cutting tools and equipment safely.
• Work with a variety of fabrics and materials.

Job description

AMG Recruitment is an employment business that provides Textile Personnel around the UK. Due to continued success and growth, our client is looking for Upholsterers in the Accrington area. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts on a permanent basis.

Starting Salary: £27,000 - £31,200 per annum

Contract Period: Permanent

Holidays: 23 days plus Bank Holidays.4

Working hours: 7am - 4pm Monday to Thurs / 7am - 12.45pm Friday.

Breaks: 30 mins lunch break and two 15 min breaks

Duties

• Ability to produce and reupholster seating or produce residential furniture from start to finish.
• Be able to create templates.
• Measure and mark fabrics or materials according to specific dimensions and patterns.
• Manufacture furniture from start to finish.
• Proven experience as an Upholsterer.
• Ability to read and interpret upholstery patterns and blueprints.
• Proficiency with cutting tools and equipment such as scissors and shears.
• Knowledge of different types of fabric and materials used in upholstery.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 31,200.00 per year
