Job summary

AMG Recruitment is seeking an experienced Upholsterer in Reading for full-time, permanent work. The role involves producing and reupholstering office seating and bespoke residential furniture, with templates, precise measuring, and pattern interpretation.

Starting salary ranges from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, with benefits and a standard 21 days holiday plus bank holidays. Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, with lunch and breaks as specified, and on-site parking available.

AMG Recruitment is an employment business that provides Textile Personnel around the UK. Due to continued success and growth, our client is looking for Upholsterers in Reading. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts on a permanent basis.

Starting Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 per annum

Contract Period: Permanent

Holidays: 21 days plus Bank Holidays.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 07:00-16:30, Friday 07:00-16:00

Breaks: 30 mins lunch break and two 15 min breaks

Products: Office and commercial seating, bespoke residential furniture.

Duties:

• Ability to produce and reupholster office seating or produce residential furniture from start to finish.
• Be able to create templates.
• Measure and mark fabrics or materials according to specific dimensions and patterns.
• Manufacture furniture from start to finish.
• Proven experience as an Upholsterer.
• Ability to read and interpret upholstery patterns and blueprints.
• Proficiency with cutting tools and equipment such as scissors and shears.
• Knowledge of different types of fabric and materials used in upholstery.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 40,000.00 per year
