Job summary

Arch Europe Insurance Services Ltd in London seeks an Underwriting Assistant to provide administrative and technical support to the underwriting team. You will input submissions, run rating models, and process bound policies on underwriting systems while ensuring data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in Insurance, ideally as an Underwriting Assistant.
• Entry Standard of education : ‘A’ Level equivalent or above.

Responsibilities

• Enter submissions, rating models, quotes and bound policies onto the Arch underwriting systems.
• Conduct account clearance procedures with other parts of the company for risks or clash.
• Review quality control output from Global Services and provide regular feedback to the underwriting team.
• Assist the Underwriters with day to day underwriting operations.
• Assist in preparation of regular and ad hoc management reports.
• Assist in the management of binders and lineslips, including processing bordereaux and quality control checks on the data.
• Undertake research activities for additional underwriting information from the Internet or external sources.
• Maintenance of appropriate business activity logs to record submission activity or premium activity.
• Prepare Standard policy Documentation for underwriters’ sign off reports.
• Assist in resolution of outstanding premium receivable issues; liaise with brokers for information.
