Job summary

Arch Europe Insurance Services Ltd is seeking an underwriting assistant in Greater London to provide administrative and technical support to the underwriting team. You will input submissions, rating models, quotes and bound policies on Arch systems and assist with daily tasks, reporting and data management.

Key duties include processing binders, reviewing quality control outputs, and coordinating with brokers and back-office teams to ensure timely information and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Entry Standard of education: A Level equivalent or above.
• Minimum 12 months experience in Insurance, ideally as an Underwriting Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Enter submissions, rating models, quotes and bound policies onto the Arch underwriting systems.
• Conduct account clearance procedures with other parts of the company for risks or clash, including catastrophe analysts, risk capture and data management teams.
• Review quality control output from Global Services and provide regular feedback to the underwriting team.
• Assist the Underwriters with day to day underwriting operations.
• Assist in preparation of regular and ad hoc management reports.
• Assist in the management of binders and lineslips, including processing bordereaux and quality control checks on the data.
• Undertake research activities for additional underwriting information from the Internet or external sources.
• Maintenance of business activity logs to record submission activity or premium activity.
• Prepare Standard policy Documentation for underwriters’ sign off reports.
• Assist in resolution of outstanding premium receivable issues and liaise with brokers on information requirements.
