Job summary

HDI, part of the Talanx Group, is seeking an Underwriting Operations Assistant for a 15 month fixed term contract in London. The role supports pre-bind and post-bind activities, data quality, and operational service within the Long Tail hub, collaborating with Liability, Life Sciences, Motor, Cyber & Ireland Underwriters.

You will work closely with the Operations team to refine support for underwriting and drive efficiency and service levels across the function.

Qualifications

Previous experience within an insurance role.
Knowledge of London Market; practices within underwriting are desirable but not essential.
Intermediate MS Office skills – Outlook, Excel.

Responsibilities

Transfer underwriting information into the document management system where appropriate.
Data entry of all policy types and endorsements in Geras on behalf of the team.
Data entry in to relevant team systems and ensuring timely workflow from start to finish.
Monitor policy data input in Geras and ensure compliance with data quality protocols.
Maintain strong relationships with underwriters and brokers by delivering high quality service.
Ensure risks comply with regulatory checks and underwriting guidelines.
Contribute to process improvements and assist with underwriting projects as needed.
Handle accounting queries and support MI/Regulatory reporting when required.
