Job summary

Logic Managed Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriting Analyst to join our underwriting team in London on a 3-month contract, hybrid working in London. The role focuses on profitability and growth of portfolios through underwriting, pricing, modelling and data analysis.

You will manage underwriting, develop pricing structures, build profitability projections, analyze large datasets, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders across Commercial,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in underwriting, pricing or related analytical role.
• Experience with underwriting, pricing, profitability modelling and forecasting.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience with large datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with data analysis/mining tools.
• SQL and Power BI would be highly desirable.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage the underwriting of a portfolio of products and accounts
• Develop pricing structures for new and existing business, ensuring target margins and profitability are achieved
• Produce profitability projections, financial models and long-term performance forecasts
• Perform advanced analysis of large datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities
• Develop and maintain underwriting models, reports and performance monitoring
• Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders
• Support financial forecasting, budgeting and reforecasting activities
• Work closely with Commercial, Finance, Pricing, Data Science, MI and Account Management teams
• Support key projects and initiatives across the Underwriting function
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and enhanced analytics
• Ensure data quality, governance and underwriting standards are maintained
