Job summary

Intact Insurance in the UK is recruiting a Delegated Property & Liability Underwriter to join our Delegated Underwriting team in Manchester or Bristol on a hybrid basis. You will assess and underwrite Property & Liability business and manage broker relationships.

The role requires underwriting experience in Property & Liability insurance, a detail-oriented mindset and a strategic approach. Existing broker connections are beneficial and you will contribute to profitable growth while representing

Qualifications

• Experience of Property & Liability Insurance from an Underwriting background
• A sharp eye for detail and a head for strategy
• Existing Broker relationships would be beneficial
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers

Responsibilities

• Working with Delegated Authority Insurance Brokers, underwriting and negotiating Property & Liability business that falls outside of the brokers binding authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed
