Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with J.P. Morgan, seeks an Ultra Low Latency C++ Lead Software Engineer to design, build and operate market gateway solutions with FPGA acceleration.

You will drive software lifecycle, latency optimization, and reliable performance across global trading networks. You will lead integration with hardware teams, ensure secure coding practices, and enable AI-assisted tooling to improve code quality and delivery speed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in modern C++ on Unix/Linux with multithreading fundamentals.
• Experience designing and deploying software in production with low latency requirements.
• Scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell) for automation.
• Strong understanding of Agile, CI/CD, resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high‑performance C++ code for trading connectivity and risk controls on Unix/Linux.
• Lead end-to-end latency optimizations and production rollout of FPGA-accelerated pipelines.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate FPGA pipelines with the software stack.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering practices with validated standards and code reviews.
