Pure Staff is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to organise daily transport operations, coordinate driver schedules, and optimise vehicle allocations across the UK. You will monitor movements, manage delays, and maintain compliant records while liaising with customers and internal teams to ensure seamless service.

The role requires knowledge of UK transport operations, drivers’ hours regulations, and strong organisational skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience in transport planning, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Know-how of UK transport operations and drivers' hours regulations.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities; able to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily transport operations and driver schedules.
  • Allocate vehicles and drivers to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor transport movements and resolve delays or issues.
  • Communicate with drivers, customers and teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements for transport activities.
  • Maintain records of vehicle movements, driver hours and activities.
  • Monitor drivers' hours and compliance with regulations.
  • Liaise with customers about collections, deliveries and schedule changes.
  • Assist with planning of vehicle and trailer availability.
  • Work with the transport team to improve efficiency and minimise empty running.
  • Complete transport administration and reporting.
