Job summary

Unum UK is seeking a UK Category Manager / TPRM Lead to develop category strategies, manage supplier risk and drive value across technology services and professional services. You will collaborate with Legal, Risk and Compliance to ensure regulatory alignment and robust supplier performance.

Based in a hybrid role with three days in the office at locations such as Dorking, London or Basingstoke, you will lead end-to-end sourcing, governance and third‑party risk assessments, shaping supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, relevant professional qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 5–8 years’ relevant experience across either procurement, category management, supplier relationship management and/or third-party risk management.
• Experience developing and delivering category, sourcing or supplier strategies in a complex organisation.
• Experience managing strategic or critical suppliers in a regulated environment is desirable.
• Experience in technology, professional services, marketing, business services or other indirect categories is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies and strategic roadmaps aligned with business priorities, market conditions and future requirements.
• Build trusted relationships with business leaders and stakeholders, influencing decisions and requirements.
• Manage strategic and critical supplier relationships across the lifecycle with governance and performance reviews.
• Lead or coordinate supplier due diligence and risk assessments for compliance and resilience.
• Measure outcomes and drive continuous improvement across category and supplier performance.
