Job summary

NearTech Search is hiring a mid-weight DevOps/Platform Engineer to join a small team building on a modern AWS stack. You will help implement platform architecture, create CI/CD pipelines, and take ownership of internal IT and SysOps, with travel to London or Manchester as required.

You will work closely with the DevOps Lead in a high-growth UK SaaS environment, supporting regional expansion and multi-region rollout while maintaining strong automation and security practices.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of hands-on DevOps, cloud automation and core infrastructure experience.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation/CDK.
• Experience setting up or maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
• Practical familiarity with internal IT systems, endpoint management (Jamf/Intune), and Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CDK across ECS Fargate, Lambda, SQS, CloudFront, and IAM.
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD deployment workflows and observability tooling (New Relic as code).
• Help stand up a brand-new AWS cloud region with the DevOps Lead.
• Own internal IT operations, staff onboarding, device management and workspace administration.
• Provide internal platform support and onboarding help with no external customer support.
