Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel UK is seeking a National Sea Logistics LCL Development Manager to drive growth of the UK LCL product. You will work with Sales, Operations, Pricing and international partners to deliver business growth and improve customer satisfaction.

As part of the Sea Logistics LCL Product Team, you will act as SME for LCL solutions, lead digital initiatives like myKN, SeaQuote and SeaExplorer, and collaborate to convert opportunities while expanding trade lanes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within Sea Logistics, with a focus on LCL products; minimum 1 year LCL experience desirable.
• Strong understanding of sea logistics, LCL solutions, pricing strategies, and customer supply chain requirements.
• Excellent relationship-building, networking, and stakeholder management skills across all levels.
• Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving capability, and ability to develop value-based customer solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and 365 apps (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Drive the growth of the UK LCL product by developing new business opportunities, expanding trade lanes, and optimizing LCL volumes with operations.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high service standards, KPI adherence, and regular business reviews with key stakeholders.
• Contribute to conversion of new business wins and support national/global RFQ opportunities, collaborating with Sales, Customer Care and operations.
• Manage and maintain LCL rates within KN systems while collaborating with Pricing to improve quote conversion and market competitiveness.
• Promote digital solutions including myKN, myKN Quote & Book, SeaQuote, SeaExplorer to increase adoption and booking volumes.
• Act as the UK LCL product expert by providing market insights, supporting the sales community to convert opportunities, identifying growth opportunities, and contributing to global LCL development initiatives.
