Boston Scientific is seeking a Local IT Support Specialist for UK & Ireland, based in Hemel Hempstead. You will deliver first- and second-line IT support to onsite and remote employees, owning issues through to resolution and coordinating with regional and Global IT teams.

You will support Windows 11, Microsoft 365, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and meeting-room tech; maintain incident records in ServiceNow; assist onboarding/offboarding and knowledge sharing.

Formación

• Relevant IT qualification, professional certification, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least two years of first- or second-line IT support within a corporate or similarly structured environment.
• Experience supporting both onsite and remote users with a strong commitment to customer experience.
• Hands-on experience with Windows 11, Microsoft 365 and common end-user technologies.
• Experience supporting laptops, mobile devices, printers, and meeting-room equipment.
• Experience using ServiceNow or a comparable enterprise ITSM platform.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication, clear to non-technical users.
• Ability to prioritise, take ownership and deliver within service levels.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional and Global IT teams.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good understanding of IT security principles and corporate policies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide first- and second-line IT support to onsite and remote employees across the UK & I, resolving incidents within SLAs.
• Act as local IT contact, coordinating with regional and Global IT teams for escalation.
• Support end-user computing environments: laptops, mobile devices, printers, and standard apps.
• Manage incidents in ServiceNow, maintaining accurate records and updates.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities, device prep and provisioning.
• Maintain local IT services and infrastructure, including meeting-room tech and network connectivity.
• Support collaboration/video-conferencing technologies (Teams, Zoom, Logitech).
• Contribute to IT asset lifecycle: hardware deployment, inventory, disposal.
• Create and maintain technical docs and knowledge-base articles.
• Collaborate on IT projects, system upgrades, deployments and other initiatives.
• Follow IT policies and security standards; escalate suspected security issues.
• Maintain focus on employee experience with responsive, professional communication.
