Job summary

Pertemps Wrexham is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to drive sales growth across the UK from a remote, field-based role. You will build relationships, visit customers on-site, and identify opportunities in the encoder and automation technology market.

The role offers a £40,000 base salary with commission, a company car or car allowance, and structured training plus career development. Expect UK-wide travel and occasional international visits, with the head office in Wrexham.

Qualifications

• Experience in field or technical sales desirable.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and technical applications.
• Proven track record of generating new business and managing accounts.
• Confidently present products and negotiate with customers.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based role.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct customer visits across the UK to understand requirements and develop opportunities.
• Identify prospective customers and develop opportunities through to sale.
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers and grow revenue.
• Reactivate lapsed accounts and rebuild business relationships.
• Discuss applications, specifications and requirements to identify suitable products and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, follow up opportunities and secure orders.
• Support customers with technical queries with internal specialists.
• Manage diary and plan travel to maintain a robust pipeline.
• Stay up to date with products and market opportunities.
