Job summary

Pertemps Wrexham is recruiting a permanent, full-time Field Sales Engineer to cover the UK from a remote base with head office duties in Wrexham. The role offers a basic salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (DOE) plus commission, with hybrid remote arrangements.

You will visit customers nationwide, develop new business and manage key accounts, with potential international travel and structured training. The position combines technical discussions, customer development and proactive sales

Qualifications

• Experience in field sales or engineering-focused commercial roles.
• Strong technical knowledge to understand customer requirements.
• Experience generating new business and managing existing accounts.
• Confidence presenting products and negotiating with customers.
• Excellent communication, organisation and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Field Sales: plan and conduct customer visits across the UK to identify requirements and develop opportunities.
• New Business Generation: identify prospects and advance opportunities to sales closure.
• Account Management: maintain regular contact with customers and grow revenue.
• Reactivating Lapsed Accounts: re-engage previous customers and rebuild relationships.
• Technical Consultations: discuss applications and specifications to propose suitable products.
• Sales Negotiation: prepare quotations and secure orders.
• Customer Support: coordinate with internal teams to provide solutions.
• Territory Management: manage diary and pipeline for UK visits and opportunities.
• Industry Development: stay updated on products, technologies and market opportunities.
