Big Think Capital is launching its UK operation and seeks a senior Commercial Lead / Country Manager to build and lead the UK sales function. You will drive revenue, recruit and mentor the UK team, and work closely with the US leadership to align strategies and growth goals.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on deal origination and closure, requiring an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong track record in commercial finance or related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team of business finance sales professionals.
• Drive sales activity, pipeline management, conversion and revenue production.
• Remain hands-on with client conversations, deal structuring, negotiations and closing opportunities.
• Establish performance expectations and a culture of accountability and results.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, coach and develop new sales talent.
• Establish training, performance management and KPI frameworks.
• Support day-to-day development and operation of the UK office.
• Help develop and execute the UK go-to-market strategy.
• Build relationships with lending partners, referral sources and market stakeholders.
• Develop understanding of the UK alternative lending landscape and underwriting criteria.
• Identify opportunities to develop new products, channels and revenue streams.
• Work with the US leadership on processes, staffing and market positioning.
