Qualifications

• Proven management of distributed/remote-first engineering teams across multiple time zones.
• Strong technical background to guide architectural decisions and reviews.
• Experience partnering with product management to define priorities and outcomes.
• Track record of hiring, onboarding and retaining engineers.
• Focus on engineering quality: observability, testing and reliable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the health, output and growth of an engineering team across time zones.
• Partner with product management to shape the roadmap balancing features and health.
• Set and maintain the quality bar for the platform and review processes.
• Run the delivery cadence: planning, prioritisation, retrospectives and execution.
• Manage dependencies and cross-team communication to avoid gaps.
• Contribute to engineering-wide standards, tooling and developer growth.
• Handle incidents with post-mortems and follow-up improvements.
• Provide regular feedback and create growth opportunities for engineers.
