Job summary

IMP Software in the United Kingdom is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multiple software delivery teams on a remote basis.

You will own capacity planning, manage risks and dependencies, run ceremonies, and ensure delivery meets goals while collaborating with Product and Architecture.

The role offers £80,000 with some flexibility for the right candidate, remote-first structure, and benefits such as CPD funding, health insurance, broadband allowance and a generous holiday plan.

Qualifications

• Proven ownership of a product area with delivery accountability.
• Experience developing people.
• Clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Agentic engineering fluency and setting context conventions.
• Expertise guiding Agile delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity planning at roadmap and sprint level across multiple software delivery teams.
• Own delivery execution: manage risks, trade-offs, and dependencies between teams.
• Facilitate standard ceremonies to remove blockers, plan work, and iterate processes.
• Triage production incidents and feed fixes to the backlog in partnership with Product.
• Develop reports against agreed goals: growth plans, development conversations, and performance management.
• Ensure the team carries the capabilities the roadmap demands: technical depth, delivery pace, and agentic engineering fluency.
• Drive toward a low-defect, low-debt system where further delivery is fast and the team trusts what it ships.
• Serve as the main point of contact across the business for delivery and operational queries in your area.
• Ensure high value information reaches stakeholders, for example regarding delivery timelines, risks, and quality concerns.
