Job summary

Side in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Level Designer to take ownership of gameplay spaces and craft immersive experiences for players. You will leverage Unreal Engine 5 for level assembly, greyboxing, and gameplay implementation while collaborating with Level Art, Environment Art, Design and Production teams.

Experience with modular kits, procedural generation, and replayability is highly valued; shipped titles on PC/console are a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Experience designing levels for action/first-person games.
• Ability to create modular levels supporting procedural generation.
• Strong Unreal Engine 5 proficiency for level assembly and gameplay implementation.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a gameplay space and develop engaging, immersive experiences.
• Design spaces for flow, combat pacing, exploration, and replayability.
• Collaborate with Level Art, Environment Art, Design and Production teams.
• Implement levels using Unreal Engine 5 and iterate based on feedback.
