Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd client is seeking a Tyre Technician for their fast-fit automotive centre in Trowbridge. You will perform tyre fittings, repairs and basic servicing, while supporting brakes and exhaust work as part of a busy workshop.

Opportunity for long-term career development with extensive training and a strong focus on quality and customer care. Role includes 42.5 hours weekly, with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
• NVQ/IMI Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Tyre Technician.
• A passion for the automotive industry and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs.
• Support with fast-fit mechanical work including brakes and exhausts.
• Carry out basic servicing work.
• Maintain accurate documentation per company procedures.
• Ensure high workmanship standards and tidy vehicles and workspaces.
• Work with the workshop team to hit targets.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Job description

Our client, one of the UK's fastest-growing fast-fit automotive businesses, is currently looking for a Tyre Technician based at their retail centre in Trowbridge.

As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate tyre fitting and repairs, as well as supporting with a range of fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tyre Technician looking for a long-term career with excellent training and progression opportunities.

Location: Trowbridge

Pay / salary: £28,000 - £30,000 basic depending on experience and qualifications

OTE: Approximately £3,600 achievable bonus

Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, 42.5 hours per week; Saturdays on a rota.

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs
• Completing fast-fit mechanical work, including exhaust and brake repairs and replacements
• Carrying out basic servicing work
• Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry-leading standards
• Ensuring customers' vehicles are left clean and free from any dirt, oil or marks resulting from the work carried out
• Working with the rest of the workshop team to achieve targets
• Working safely and in line with company health and safety procedures

To be a Tyre Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months – Essential
• NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent. Level 2 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV or PSV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will also be considered
• At least 1 year of experience working as a Tyre Technician
• A passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
