Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited client, a leading fast-fit automotive business, is hiring a Tyre Technician for their Crawley centre. The role focuses on tyre fitting, repairs, and supporting with brakes, exhausts and basic servicing, with excellent training and career progression.

The position is based in Crawley, offering a basic salary of £30,000–£32,000 with an achievable £3,600 bonus (OTE). Hours: Mon-Fri 08:30-17:30, 42.5h/week; Saturdays on rota.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (held for at least 6 months)
• Experience as a Tyre Technician is preferred
• Good teamwork and reliability

Responsibilities

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs
• Carrying out fast-fit mechanical work including exhaust and brake repairs
• Carrying out basic servicing work
• Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies
• Working to high standards and ensuring vehicles are clean after work
• Collaborating with workshop team to meet targets
• Adhering to health and safety procedures

Job description

Our client, one of the UK's fastest-growing fast-fit automotive businesses, is currently looking for a Tyre Technician based at their retail centre in Crawley.

As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate tyre fitting and repairs, as well as supporting with a range of fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.

Pay / salary:£30,000 to £32,000Basic Salary

OTE:Approximately £3,600 achievable bonus

Shift and schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, 42.5 hours per week; Saturdays on a rota.

Tyre Technician Responsibilities:

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs
• Completing fast-fit mechanical work, including exhaust and brake repairs and replacements
• Carrying out basic servicing work
• Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry-leading standards
• Ensuring customers' vehicles are left clean and free from any dirt, oil or marks resulting from the work carried out
• Working with the rest of the workshop team to achieve targets
• Working safely and in line with company health and safety procedures

To be a Tyre Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months- Essential
• NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent. Level 2 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV or PSV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will also be considered
• At least 1 year of experienceworking as a Tyre Technician
• A passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
