Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited's client, a fast-growing UK automotive business, is hiring a Mobile Tyre Technician for their Nailsea/Bristol centre. You will fit tyres, carry out repairs and support with brakes, exhausts and basic servicing on mobile or customer-site jobs.

Requirements include a valid UK licence, 1+ year tyre tech experience, and Level 2 NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds in light vehicle maintenance. Excellent training and progression are offered with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Tyre Technician experience.
• Valid UK driving licence for at least 6 months.
• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and safely at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and puncture repairs.
• Attending roadside breakdowns and providing mobile tyre assistance.
• Tyre fitting and repairs at customers' homes, workplaces and premises.
• Working on commercial vehicles and heavy fleet vehicles.
• Completing scheduled fleet inspections and tyre safety checks.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with risk assessments.
• Maintaining equipment, tools and the mobile service vehicle to a high standard.
• Providing excellent customer service while representing the company.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and job records in line with company procedures.
• Working independently and efficiently to complete jobs to a high standard.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.

Job description

Our client, one of the UK's fastest-growing fast-fit automotive businesses, is currently looking for a MobileTyre Technician based at their retail centre in Bristol, Nailsea.

As a MobileTyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate tyre fitting and repairs, as well as supporting with a range of fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.

Location: Nailsea, Bristol

Pay / salary: Starting from £30,000 - £32,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 - 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Mobile Tyre Technician Responsibilities:

To be a Mobile Tyre Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months- Essential
• NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent. Level 2 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV or PSV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will also be considered
• At least 1 year of experienceworking as a Tyre Technician
• A passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
