Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Mobile Tyre Technician in Nailsea/Bristol to join a fast-growing automotive business. You will fit tyres, perform puncture repairs and support with brakes, exhausts and servicing as needed.

Ideal candidates have 1 year tyre technician experience, a valid UK licence for 6+ months and a passion for the automotive industry. The role involves mobile tyre work at customers' premises and roadside support.

Responsibilities

• Carry out tyre fitting, replacements and puncture repairs

Job description

Our client, one of the UK’s fastest-growing fast-fit automotive businesses, is currently looking for a Mobile Tyre Technician based at their retail centre in Bristol, Nailsea.

As a Mobile Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out accurate tyre fitting and repairs, as well as supporting with a range of fast-fit mechanical work, including brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Tyre Technician looking for a long-term career with excellent training and progression opportunities.

Location: Nailsea, Bristol

Pay / salary: Starting from £30,000 - £32,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

• Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and puncture repairs
• Attending roadside breakdowns and providing mobile tyre assistance
• Carrying out tyre fitting and repairs at customers' homes, workplaces and business premises
• Working on commercial vehicles and heavy fleet vehicles
• Completing scheduled fleet inspections and tyre safety checks
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with risk assessments
• Maintaining equipment, tools and the mobile service vehicle to a high standard
• Providing excellent customer service while representing the company
• Maintaining accurate documentation and job records in line with company procedures
• Working independently and efficiently to complete jobs to a high standard
• Following all company health and safety procedures

To be a Mobile Tyre Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months – Essential
• NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent. Level 2 qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, HGV, LCV or PSV Vehicle Maintenance and Repair will also be considered
• At least 1 year of experience working as a Tyre Technician
• A passion for the Automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop further
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
