Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting for a permanent Tyre Fitter to join a busy bodyshop in Grimsby, working nights.

18:00 to 06:00 on a four days on, four days off rotation. You will perform tyre diagnostics (condition, pressure and tread depth), replace or repair tyres, and adjust wheel balance, alignment and rotation under supervision of the Bodyshop Manager. A full UK driving licence and prior tyre technician experience are required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and reliability.
• Willing to train junior technicians when needed.

Job description

Based in Grimsby, this permanent Tyre Fitter - Night shift position sits within an experienced bodyshop team, reporting to the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Working 18:00 to 06:00 on a four days on, four days off rotation, the successful candidate performs tyre diagnostics, including checks on condition, pressure and tread depth, plus replacing or repairing faulty tyres and adjusting wheel balance, alignment and rotation.

Additional duties cover supporting junior technicians and training new staff when required.

Applicants must hold previous experience as a Tyre Technician and a full UK driving licence. Pay reaches £16.72 per hour.

The Role: Within this role, you will be working as a part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Shift

• 18.00 PM - 6.00 AM
• £16.72 PER HOUR
• 4 DAYS ON, 4 DAYS OFF

Responsibilities

• Performing tyre diagnostics (e.g. checking tyre condition, pressure and tread depth)

• Adhoc duties when required

Skills & Expertise

• Previous experience in a similar role as a Tyre Technician (essential)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed
• Passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
• Work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when required
• Excellent attention to detail
