Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Weymouth is recruiting graduates and career changers for a 2-year salaried teacher training programme, starting January 2027.

The first year is spent as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school, gaining classroom experience and developing management skills within a supportive school community. In Year Two you move into formal teacher training, working toward PGCE and QTS, with ongoing mentoring and a structured pathway into a teaching career.

Qualifications

• A UK bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering lessons using work and resources provided by teaching staff.
• Supervising classes and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with their learning.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff.
• Observing lessons to develop your understanding of effective teaching.
• Taking part in training and professional development opportunities.
