Job summary

Primrose Bank Medical Centre seeks an experienced Practice Business Manager to lead operational and strategic management across two sites in Blackburn. You will oversee staff, processes, and performance, ensuring compliant, patient-centred care within NHS frameworks.

You will drive service improvements, manage budgets, and lead HR and IT initiatives, supporting a high-quality, accessible practice for nearly 9,500 patients.

Qualifications

• Solid general practice experience with NHS/regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and business planning with GP Partners.
• Represent the practice at PCN/local meetings and drive service development.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across two sites, including staffing and premises.
• Manage budgeting, payroll, income streams (QOF, IIF, Enhanced Services).
• Lead recruitment, inductions, appraisals and HR support for non-clinical staff.
• Ensure CQC readiness and compliance with GDPR and health and safety.
