Job summary

Lincoln House Surgery is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead two Hemel Hempstead sites, Apsley and Highfield. This full-time role covers strategic planning, operational execution and service development across the practice, ensuring safety, quality and patient experience.

You will work closely with GP Partners to implement business plans, manage budgets, and drive digital innovation while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong staff engagement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Practice Manager, Operations Manager or senior leader within primary care
• Proven experience managing large teams and complex healthcare operations
• Strong understanding of NHS Primary Care contracts, QOF and Enhanced Services
• Strong financial, business and budget management skills
• Experience of CQC inspections and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication, leadership and people-management skills
• Experience managing services across multiple sites
• Strong digital skills and a genuine interest in technology and innovation

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across both practice sites
• Oversee day-to-day operation of two sites (Apsley and Highfield)
• Ensure services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard
• Develop and maintain robust policies, procedures and business continuity
• Maximise income from NHS contracts and other funding streams
• Monitor expenditure and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Governance, quality and regulatory compliance duties
• Lead the development of the organisation and delivery of strategic objectives
