Job summary

Zest Optical is recruiting a full-time Optical Practice Manager to oversee two independent practices in the Dudley area. You will lead a small team and drive day-to-day operations, commercial performance and two-site organisation.

Experience in optical practice is essential; dispensing qualification is welcome but not required. Salary ranges £28,000–£29,000 with a 9am–5:30pm schedule, including Saturdays, and two locations to manage.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an optical practice is essential.
• Management, supervisory or senior optical experience is required.
• Confident with KPIs and contributing to business growth.
• Good understanding of NHS optical processes and administration.
• Organised, commercially aware and able to oversee two locations.
• A qualified Dispensing Optician would be welcomed but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of two independent optical practices.
• Lead, support and organise a team of approximately three to four people.
• Manage practice KPIs and identify opportunities to increase sales and growth.
• Ensure the shop floor runs efficiently and patients receive high standard of service.
• Organise NHS administration, claims and related practice processes.
• Support the Director with the continued development of both practices.
• Maintain high standards across customer service, compliance and operations.
