Job summary

Moat House Care Home in Burbage, near Hinckley, Leicestershire, is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality, person-centred care in a welcoming setting. You will support residents with personal care, mobility and daily living while following individual care plans and maintaining accurate records.

The role emphasises dignity, independence and wellbeing, with training provided and a requirement to work alternate weekends. Competitive hourly rate and employee benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach with a genuine passion for supporting older people.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work calmly in a busy environment and as part of a supportive team.
• Reliable, positive and professional attitude with a commitment to delivering person-centred care.
• Understanding of dignity, independence, equality and maintaining residents' confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, infection prevention and safeguarding procedures.
• Previous care or care home experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• The Care Certificate must be completed within the first three months if not already achieved.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
• Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition, hydration and daily living per care plans; monitor wellbeing and report changes; maintain care records.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities, assist with meals, accompany appointments and outings, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Follow Health & Safety, infection prevention and safeguarding procedures; work required to cover alternate weekends.
