Job summary

Moat House Care Home in Burbage, near Hinckley, Leicestershire, is seeking a friendly Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents.

You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals and daily living, follow care plans, and work as part of a supportive team within Care Concern Group. The role includes alternate weekends, paid DBS, pension and uniform provision, and strong opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy
• Ability to work calmly in a busy environment as part of a team
• Commitment to delivering person-centred care
• Understanding of dignity, independence and confidentiality
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures
• Care experience is desirable but training will be provided
• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care desirable; Care Certificate within 3 months if not achieved

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care promoting dignity and independence
• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration
• Follow individual care plans and monitor wellbeing
• Maintain accurate care records and report changes promptly
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and socialise
• Support with meals, appointments and outings when required
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Follow health & safety and safeguarding procedures
• Work alternate weekends
