Job summary

Bothwell Castle Care Home is seeking a Part Time Care Assistant to support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and wellbeing in a welcoming, person-centred environment. Training and ongoing development are provided, with shift pattern 5pm–midnight and a Twilight role that emphasises dignity and independence.

The role welcomes both experienced carers and newcomers. PVG pension, uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks annual leave are available to part-time staff.

Care and Support - Bothwell Castle Care Home

Contract: Part Time

Shift Type: Twilight

Contracted hours: Part time

Located within the picturesque and historic area of South Lanarkshire, our care home is a private, luxurious care facility that offers Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for 75-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to part time hours per week - 5pm - midnight
• Paid PVG pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
