Job summary

Beechgrove Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, seeks a Care Assistant in Lanark to support residents with daily living, personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing. You will follow care plans to uphold dignity and independence while delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Join a supportive team in a private home with training and development, paid PVG, pension, and 5.6 weeks of annual leave on a full-time contract; up to 44 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Job description

Our private nursing home is tucked away within the picturesque Lanark countryside, offering specialist care for 70-residents.

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to up to 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
