Job summary

Capita TV Licensing is recruiting a Television Licence Field Officer in Nottingham. You will visit customers at their homes, explain licensing options, and help them take the next steps with full training and the freedom to work independently.

You’ll manage your own schedule, travel locally with a company car or car allowance, and start/finish from home. The role includes evenings and weekends, a 36.5-hour week, and benefits such as pension, paid leave, and health support.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Live within the NG postcode area.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in varied customer situations.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail when recording information.

Responsibilities

• Visiting residential addresses throughout the NG postcode area.
• Speaking with customers professionally and respectfully.
• Explaining TV Licensing requirements and available options.
• Setting up payment plans where appropriate.
• Recording visit outcomes accurately using mobile technology.
• Making informed decisions and working independently in the field.
• Occasionally attending court as part of the enforcement process.
