Job summary

Capita TV Licensing is seeking a Field Officer to visit customers at their homes in the Reading area, discussing TV licence requirements and outlining available solutions. You will work independently with full training and equipment provided, starting and finishing each day from home.

You’ll travel locally, using a company vehicle or your own, and benefit from a flexible schedule and supportive Capita team. A full UK driving licence and strong customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Must live within RG postcode area.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in customer interactions.
• Strong problem-solving and judgement ability.
• Attention to detail when recording information.

Responsibilities

• Visit residential addresses across the RG postcode area.
• Engage with customers professionally and respectfully.
• Explain TV Licensing requirements and available options.
• Set up payment plans where appropriate.
• Record visit outcomes accurately using mobile technology.
• Work independently and make informed decisions in the field.
• Occasionally attend court as part of enforcement processes.
